As Auckland enters Level 3 Covid-19 Alert Level here at Kaipara Medical Centre, we remain open and committed to continuing to meet your health needs, but we are working differently. 

Here's what you need to know:

• If you have an appointment already booked for the period designated as Level 3 (Wednesday 12 August – Saturday 15 August) and you have any viral symptoms (cough, cold, fever, difficulty breathing and/or sore throat) please call us (09 420 8400) before coming in so we can follow correct procedures to ensure the safety of you and others. 
   
• If you would like to change your appointment to a phone consultation, please phone us to arrange this.
   
• If you would prefer not to come in for your appointment, please phone us to reschedule.
   
• If you do come in for your appointment, please bring a mask and/or face covering to protect yourself and others in the waiting room. Please also socially distance yourself in the waiting room or wait in the car and phone us to let us know you are here.  

Viral Symptoms

If you have viral symptoms (cough, cold, fever, difficulty breathing and/or sore throat) or are worried about coronavirus please call us and a nurse will contact you to discuss the best option for your care. 

If the nurses book an appointment to come to the clinic for a viral swab this is what will happen:  

• Wait in your car and phone us to tell us you have arrived
• The nurse or GP will come to the car 
• Please wear a mask or face covering
• Please do not come into the clinic

Prescriptions

We are providing our usual prescription service however, the standard timeframe from ordering your prescription is 48 hours until your prescription is at the pharmacy.

Most importantly, please do not put off any medical treatment, call us or message us on Manage My Health and we will do our best to meet your health needs in a safe way that keeps us all protected from the COVID-19 virus.
