Congratulations to Dr Hollie Shine and her husband Kris, for the new arrival of their lovely daughter, Natalie Mae,  born on May 8 weighing in at 3.49 kg. We’re so happy for them as they start this new exciting time in their lives.
 
During the election campaign last year(how time flies), one of the government policies relating to health were for funded free visits being extended from under 6 year olds to include up to under 13 year olds from July 1 2015. As at the time of writing, we have been informed by our PHO, ProCare, that with only 6 weeks to go , there are still issues with the details of how the funding initiative will be implemented. We are keen to be able to join this scheme as soon as we are able and once the processes and funding is in place, we hope that will still be on July 1, but this may cause a delay. We will keep you updated as we get more firm information.
 
And Flu vaccines have been going well, but if you haven’t had yours yet, and you are over 65 or have a chronic illness that qualifies for your free vaccine, please come and see our nurses soon.
