We wanted to provide you with some updates on what’s happening in and around Kaipara Medical Centre over the next few months.
To keep up with the latest, be sure to follow us on Facebook.
New Afterhours Service
From 1 July, we will be moving to a new afterhours service, Ka Ora. Ka Ora will act as an extension of Kaipara Medical Centre, providing afterhours telehealth care while we are closed (evenings, weekends, and public holidays).
When you dial our main reception line (09 420 8400) after 5pm, or on weekends, you will be connected directly to Ka Ora, and speak to a Kaiawhina or a Nurse. The team will assess your health needs, and if needed, you can either have a telehealth appointment with a Clinician directly or you may choose to schedule an appointment later in the evening. Your health records will then be updated once your appointment is complete.
This is an exciting step for our practice team, as it means you will get afterhours access to telehealth or video-health appointments via Ka Ora at the same price that you would pay to see one of our onsite team members during the day.
This is one additional way we are looking to support the health needs of our community.
Appointment Cancellations
To ensure we can continue to take care of all our patients as required, please be sure to turn up to your booked appointments. As you can understand, appointments are currently in high demand.
If you find yourself in the position where you can no longer make your scheduled appointment, please contact us to let us know as soon as possible, so we can cancel or reschedule your appointment, and release this for another patient.
We appreciate your help in keeping appointments available for those who need them.
Carpark Resurfacing
The Helensville District Health Trust is resurfacing the carpark outside Kaipara Medical Centre.
This will impact the Kaipara Medical Centre carparks which will be unavailable from today, Monday 24 June until Tuesday 2 July, meaning that street parking is the only alternate option.
Please note that the thoroughfare will still be available if you need to be dropped to the door, and the disabled carpark outside the telehealth pod will still be available.
