- There is no cost to attending the clinic itself, but for enrolled patients who are not eligible for the free flu vaccination, there will be a $35 vaccination cost.
Communication of Results
A friendly reminder, we do not routinely inform of normal results, unless otherwise discussed in your appointment. Your results will be filed on the patient portal 'My Indici' for you to view.
Please speak to reception if you are not signed up for My Indici - this site is also useful for booking appointments and ordering prescriptions. If a result is abnormal and needs a review we will contact you to advise. If you are not sure or don't have access to the portal please contact the practice on 09 420 8400, or email admin@kaiparamed.co.nz.
Acute Care Walk-in Clinic
A reminder that we run our Acute Care Walk-In Service which operates 8:30am - 3pm, Monday to Friday.
This walk-in clinic is for our enrolled patients only, and operates at standard appointment costs. No appointments are needed.
What is Acute Care?
Acute care services (sometimes known as Accident & Medical services) are for people who experience sudden illness, accidents, or injuries that do not appear to be life threatening but can’t wait until the next day. You don't need an appointment to visit the acute care clinic - we welcome unscheduled, walk-ins for enrolled Kaipara Medical Patients only.
There may be a wait time depending on the number of people visiting at the same time and we operate on a triage basis, meaning more seriously ill patients will receive priority care.
If you have any further questions about the Acute Care Clinic, please feel free to call our reception team on 09 420 8400.
In case of an emergency, please always call 111.
Appointment Times
A gentle reminder that standard appointments are 15 minutes. We can assist you with 1-2 issues within a 15 minute appointment. If you have a long list to discuss then please consider booking a double appointment.
New Payment Policy
Firstly, we wish to thank those of you who have paid at the time of your appointment with us. We have appreciated that immensely. We understand that there are a number of reasons you may be unable to pay at the time, but intend to pay the next day, however remembering, or other issues, means it can be forgotten or missed.
Unfortunately, following up on late payments takes a significant amount of time and resources.
We have now implemented our Patient fees and outstanding debt policy and our Did Not Attend (DNA) / Late Arrival / Late Cancellation Policy. Please be sure to check these out on our website to understand what this means for you.
Thank you for supporting us, and please remember, if finance is an issue, please have a quiet word with our Practice Manager.
Annual Medication Review
You may notice that you have been asked to come in for an annual medication review if you take long-term medications. Please note that if you are on long-term medications, we must see you a minimum of once a year for a review so that we can continue to prescribe safely for you.

Is your rangatahi heading to boarding school, a university hall or military training? Meningococcal vaccines are free for 13 to 25-year-olds in their first year of living in these high-risk settings. Refer to our helpful guide for more information.
