The beginning of a new year is often a time when people make job changes as they seek out new opportunities for both professional and personal reasons, and so you can expect to see some new faces at Kaipara Medical Centre in the coming weeks.

Dr Vaughan Lock is leaving Kaipara Medical Centre at beginning of April to take some time out.

The Kaipara Medical Centre is actively looking to replace Dr Lock. It assures his current patients that the centre will work with them make sure they continue to get the care they need through this period.

The entire Kaipara Medical Centre team wishes Dr Vaughan the very best with his new chapter away from daily GP practice.

And while it's a sad farewell to one GP, we're excited to be welcoming a new member of the team, Dr Michael He, who joins as our new Registrar for the next six months. He will be supported in his training by Dr Phil Barter.

A registrar is a qualified doctor with several years' experience who is undertaking advanced training in the area of general practice.

And there are also some new faces in our administration and nursing teams. Our receptionist Joelene has left and we're pleased to welcome two new friendly faces to our front-of-house team, Allison Keyes and Jo Ramsay.

It's also a fond farewell to our nurse Anna. She has been replaced by Courtney Burrows.

And one of our longest-serving members of staff, our nurse Christine Montgomery is retiring after an incredible 50 years serving the local community.
